As Guests enter Studio Park Hollywood ™, they are immediately immersed into the "History of Movie-Making Magic" experience. From the light and fanciful Sunset Square, Guests stroll down Melrose Avenue, depicting Olde Hollywood elegance, where they are taken back to the Silent Film Era of the 20's, then progress into the emergence of "talkies," glittering stars and movie production, the Golden Era of the 30's and 40's.

Guests experience old time movie-making in process and may participate hands-on in film production. Stars surprise the Guests with special appearances. Silent film and independent films are seen in the Star Theater, while the history of movies is showcased in Cinema Square.

The evolution of major motion picture studios is also featured. The "History of Movie Making Magic" is a dark ride experience that takes Guests through the origination and development of movies, from Thomas Edison's invention of the Black Maria and George Eastman's development of film, the camera and photography, to movie production today.

The Guests exit the ride into the Technology Pavilion that focuses on emerging technologies and new advancements in CGI, animation, filmmaking, digital enhancements, internet, interactive programming, etc.

Other areas of the park reflect the localized traditions of other parts of the country, especially as they are reflected in classic Hollywood movies. But these areas are also active movie-making locales, encouraging active backlot activities as a part of film production and Guest entertainment.

The Studio Tour takes the Guest by tram through the sound stages and production back lots at Studio Center. The Guest experience will culminate with a live audience participation TV program.
